Re: Clywedog 9-10th July
Just seen Nessa's post, I didn't realise the Clywedog and Roadford meetings were on consequetive weekends.
It would be too much driving to go to both, Nessa and I live near or on the east cost so a bit of a marathon to either.
It will have to be Roadford as this is the main event.

Hi Chris
There is a mistake on the notice to race .Due to my mother dying and all that involves. I just altered the date on last years NOR and did not delete National apologies to all and especially Nessa. I've tried to correct it but it's locked and did ask that it be amended.
Alan
PS I have a spare mast that you can have and a sail.

Alan, I've now removed the word Nationals and reloaded the document but your pc may have it cached so you could still see it.

Re: Clywedog 9-10th July
Unfortunately going to have to miss Clywedog now, have done something to my back, it's on the mend but I don't think lugging boats about or sailing would be a good plan this weekend - hopefully back to normal in time for Roadford!
Keith.

Wishing you all the best for the event. This is the first time I've missed it since Keith started to hold it. Very sorry I just don't have the time to attend this time.

Sorry Keith,
I'm afraid that I can't make it this either as I am in Germany on a training course until the 20th July. We will definitely try and come next year all things being equal. Hope it all goes well and the weather gods are kind.

Re: Clywedog 9-10th July
Just to say a big thank you to Keith, Mick and the Team at Clywedog. Even with just 5 boats it was certainly exciting racing.Probably haven't been so fast in a boat since Clywedog some years ago when my mast broke. At least this time the only damage was that the gaffer tape stopping some bad leaks started to peel itself off under the water.
I think that a record may have been set: every competing boat had at least one past or present member of Shearwater.... Amy crewing the FD and Jon the F15, + 3 other boats from SSC. Well done!

Re: Clywedog 9-10th July
I would like to repeat Chris's comments. Another lovely trip to mid Wales, and enough wind to please even me!!
Thank you Keith, Pat, Tracy and everyone else.
A bank holiday date for next year?

Hiya all
Thanks also to Keef and the team at Clywedog for a fine weekends fun, from myself and my glamorous assistant, Amy Barlow, the Billie Piper of FD sailing.
Thanks too to Amy, living proof of the Julian doctrine that you do not have to be a large strong chunk of male meat (Giles!!!) to be a good FD crew.
A shame that more people did not come out to play, especially those with performance boats, I was hoping for a race with the Pogoers in their Osprey, after all, Clywedog is the ideal venue to race a large powerful dinghy!
The Clywedog dinghy history quiz will hopefully be inflicted on everyone as a Christmas present!
cheers
