Sorry Alan, I can't make it this time.

On a side note:
You might be pleased to hear (or not  ) that your 3 MiniSail (Roadford 2017) medals were given to a most deserving European MiniSail champion recently.

Notice of Race and Entry Form now on the Roadford event page http://www.cvrda.org/events/roadford-rally-2018/

Alan - we'll be there from Thursday with two friends, experienced sailors but without their boat, since it is too modern and they can't tow both boat and caravan.

Hi Alan,
I am planning to travel down on the Thursday, passing through on way to Falmouth museum with my Dad. Will it be ok to leave the boat at Roadford until I take up my pitch on Friday?
Actually, as Pat and Sandy will be there, I might already have some 'minders'!

Hi Alan,
Sorry not to have been in touch most of this year. Something to do with work being manic! Anyhow, John and I plan to be there . I will be sailing the Enterprise and John plans to sail his old solo. Unfortunately , we did'nt
get Two Horses (N33) ready in time . There is still quite a lot of West-ing to do. I do plan to have her ready for Goodacre and try out before going to Clywedog in September. See you next weekend, Neil W

Does anyone know if the burger van will be operating?

Also, I need to get a Pico rudder from Roadford to Plymouth where it is destined for the sailing charity Horizons. Can anyone help?

surely better to hope for wind rather than burgers?? Still a long way away, but right now looks like more of the same. Heat, sun, calm

I can pick up the rudder and deliver it next time I'm in Plymouth, assuming its not immediately required. (had I got the rudder on board last Thurs I could have dropped it off on their support boat as we passed close by)

and a reminder, I will be coming without a boat so if anyone needs an experienced Classic, if not Vintage, crew please let me know 01752 823509

Especially the veggie variety I favour.

I'm afraid I won't be at Roadford due to the nerve issue in my arm. Hoping to be back on the water for the 20th Anniversary of the CVRDA.

talking of burgers.....

I hope you managed to get them out from under lock and key in time for the bar-bee-Q....

Would be a long way to come and then not be able to get them out a locked barn :-)

Hope it goes well today for everyone. Sorry I can't make it today.

Best wishes

Thanks to Alan, Ed and the Sunday race team for another good weekend.
Weather may have only just cooperated but a very enjoyable weekend and it was good to meet some new boats and their owners too.

Yes, thanks to all involved. We had a great time and it was well worth the long trip. Finally got Ho e at 10.30pm!

Hykeham will be a doddle in comparison.

Hi All, Many thanks for laying on a smashing w/end at Roadford. It was well worth the trip from the Island and sailing on the lake makes a great change from battling the tides off of Cowes.
Also thanks to Alistair for lending John And Patti Urry his Bosun, they will be bringing their Wayfarer to participate in next year.
It would be great to get more Classic Finns back for next year, their missing some good sailing !!!!
All the best
Barney
