Two Wooden Tideways available plus......

Post by pierre »

Weir Wood Sailing Club are purging the boat park.
There are two wooden Tideways there, which if anyone is interested, I will get pictures of.
They are not in the first flush of youth and would require work, but I know some of you like a challenge judging by the forum posts I have read over the years here.

There are also 51.. (yes fifty one) other boats in various states, ranging from Enterprises, Solo's, Larks, Lightnings, even Laser 2000's.
They must all go very soon.

So if anyone is interested, PM or email me, and I will get the wheels rolling.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards

Pete

Thank you. If not obvious, you can find them painted on the inside of the front tank, usually.

Rupert
Just got the list from the club powers that be. I will have to go down and root around to see how horrible some of these are, but evidently there is a Minisail, 3 Lightnings, and even a Europe.
I shall see what's what.

Hi,
I am on the lookout for something cheap and fibreglass and big enough for two, anything there that fits the bill?
Eagerly awaiting list and photo's.

Might be some interest in Lightnings at Hunts. We're also looking for a 2000 as a training boat.

I can feel myself twitching at the idea of so many boats available... Been thinking about a pre 1985 Europe recently since seeing those Classic Moth photos...

OK so here is a link to photos of the Tideways such as they are.

Tideways. 3649 is waterlogged, has a couple of broken ribs, no trailer and no sails but is otherwise reasonably complete. 2730 looks to be in much better condition, is complete apart from no sails and has a decent road trailer.

There is one Finn I believe. I hope to get down again in the next couple of days to check more out.
No cats.
Some right dogs though. :)
