the more i look at this the more convinced i am that it is a Rocket. Gannet, no. 252 is the only other one surviving that I know of. Garry has sailed her at CVRDA events.
I hope someone takes on this rarity.

I've had a quick chat with the owner of this boat today. He acquired it when he bought a house, and the Rocket was in one of the outbuildings. It has sat untouched for at least 10 years and, aside from the obvious issue with the foredeck, he says that it is solid. Apparently, when put in the barn it had been in very good condition.

The boat comes with a rudder, and what he described as 'the big rudder' but is most likely the centreboard. The mast is wooden. There is also a bag of at least one sail. The number is 414.

He has the contact details for the wife of the former owners and he is happy for me to share his contact details with anyone who has a serious interest. He is also sending me some more pictures which I would be happy to forward by email.

As Chris suggests, surely a piece of (Merlin) Rocket history worth saving?
