Open Event in Kent

Post by Trevor C »

I have suggested that Bough Beech SC hold an open CVRDA type event, well the thinking was to get more of the older boats out of the dinghy park and sailing, and then the thinking was why not make it an open. So, he who suggests gets to organise, but will they come?

Bank Holiday weekend, specifically boat age handicap on the 26th May. I know there is any clash but if you are South East based and especially if you own a Jollyboat, will you come to BBSC near to Sevenoaks. Please post asap so I can make a decision on the event. (It will be to support Sail 4 Cancer too)

Thanks

Trevor, would love to come but as you say it clashes with Clwedog which is a bit of a favourite event for us.

Clywedog is closer to Aberdeen than Kent and a favourite of mine too although the crew problems will be there again this year too as it is not a holiday in Scotland. I may need to call on help yet again but I will be bringing a battery booster this year.

Alan,

You'd have to be careful with the sat nav.....else you miss Bough Beach and end up at......

Downs SC!

Was it you who wiped out launching into the surf, or were you one of the crazies on the beach trying to get the remains (boat and human) back ashore......

Spotty Dog days at a guess!

We have friends in Chipstead, so if going to the Firefly southwesterns doesn't work out, I'll run it past the boss...

Too many options already for that weekend - Clywedog wins hands down but Bourne End week camping in Sin City would probably be second!

Hi Dave never went to Downs as home of the Scary Brothers. The Plymouth fleet just did not get on with them but thats a story for the bar after several beers.

Alan,

Ah yes.........we'll pass on that one.

Boat breaking beach and strong tides..... not a place for the classics.
Bough Beech would be nice though, it's just a shame it clashes.

(mind you - the water tastes funny......not enough salt!)
