I have recently bought a Flying Junior from a member of my club. I know virtually nothing of her history, although I have established from the International Flying Junior Organisation that she is pre-1972.

Does anybody else out there own an FJ? They seem to be pretty popular on the Continent and in the USA, but I would be interested to know of any other owners here in the UK. When people at the club ask me what my boat is, and I tell them, they just say "a flying What?!". !!

Tina.

Aberystwyth University Sailing Club own one. Back in the 60's apparantly they had a fleet of them, and some of them sank, so it is said. The one they have now was given to them in a right state several years ago. not sure of the condition now, but some work was done on her.
The only canoe sailor in MY village too !
