Another Guess the Dinghy
Another Guess the Dinghy
Whilst sorting through my photos I came across these, so just for fun can you identify this dinghy?
(I know the answer by the way.)

Re: Another Guess the Dinghy
Indeed - I kneel corrected. (orthopedic kneeling chair in use).
The Spirit is of course a GRP / FRP hard chine gull - and possibly the best one. Although Porters now make the Calypso Gull which might be better?
The round bilge one looks horrible (in my opinion) but retains most of the sailing characteristics of the Gull.
Cheers

I'm with Roger on that one.....I helped a good friend buy an early mk1 a few years ago as a first boat for him to learn in, and we sailed it quite a bit.....gunter rigged and sailed very well I thought....we had a lot of fun. I intend having one of my own at some point, but got my hands full at present.

I don't think it's a Gull either. An Otter or perhaps it's predecessor which I think was called a Bubble?
Best wishes

The Glass Bubble's name was changed to Otter, but the sail insignia left the same. I'm sure there was logic to this at the time...

Not a Gull, Sailfish or Otter/Glass Bubble whatever.

There have, but the transom would look bigger, I think. I can think of loads of boats that are similar to this, but they all have something different about them. It is screaming Pearson Brothers, but I think that might just be because of the general similarity of all this sort of boat.
