Hi I am looking to totally restore and want projects that are beyond most diy repairers, rather than never to be seen again, Martin

Hi , no problem, I have been having a lot of fun sailing my merlin, but I have an idea, which I do not want to broadcast just yet, untilI have the boats in place, but there is a merlin on the site 1065 , which I cant seem to get a contact number or address which would be an ideal example, and I only want more classic and vintage merlins competing

I know of a merlin that might be available at Ripon Sailing club. Let me know if you are interested and I will make enquiries.

Hello Martin
We have an old Jack Holt Merlin which is currently parked on the rearmost of the back-burners (aka the last-chance saloon).
700+ number built by Holt, originally beautifully varnished mahogany, now paint slapped hastily over. The garboards are seriously shot from the self bailers outwards, so at least there's no water sitting in it!.
Has curved transom track & period quirks but no rig etc. Good River Thames potential.
Get in touch if interested.
