Unknown Gunter rigged dinghy in South East Cornwall

Post by Ed »

I was given these images ages ago.....and asked for a 'boat-identification'...

I totally forgot, but here are the images now:
local_dinghy_1.jpg
local_dinghy_2.jpg
Details:

length: 13ft 2in
beam: 4ft 10in

Gunter rigged with iron centre plate and rudder.

just been restored after 8 years out of the water.

West country origin is suspected, but no known provenance.

I am afraid I don't recognise her and would suspect a local west county design or a local builders custom build.

What do others think?

cheers

Very unusual decks - almost Germanic - not that I think she is German. Very distinctive.
