Swift 419

Post by Michael4 »

Reluctantly I have concluded that it is not possible to sail more than one boat at a time. I don't think there is any need to elaborate upon this apart from saying that my enthusiasm for projects can sometimes go beyond that which is practical.

Before I sail her and get seduced by her ways I wonder if there is anyone out there who would like to take on Swift 419? From memory there is very little left to do, paint mast and boom, sort halyard sheave and replace toe straps are the only things that come to mind. She has pretty much everything including a stainless trolley but no trailer.

For details see the Swift 419 thread in the 'Maintenance' section of the CVRDA forum and if interested pm me. I was generously given the boat so would gratefully receive a contribution towards varnish/paint and some bits and pieces.

No interest here or in the Shearwater group. I will widen the net...

Things tend to be slow at this time of year, especially for wooden boats.
