Sorry guys, stupidly busy of late.

Yes, definitely 4th and 5th, with the usual format of sharing with the Merlins on Saturday then the SigneTs and club racing on Sunday. I can open up for campers on Friday evening - free camping as ever.

The first race will be no sooner than 11.00on Saturday, and we have our usual race team who are well versed in our ways! Three races on Saturday, three more on Sunday, I will write an NoR very soon.

For those staying on Saturday I will find somewhere new to eat. The Dolphin is not the same since it became a Best Western.

Let me know if you are coming!

Not everyone is on FB. So yes I'll be there (alone) with my Skol Moth from Friday evening until...

So far I know I have:
Chris not sure what he’s bringing
Richard and rhe Skol
Lyndon with a moth
Ian with a moth
Pat and Sandy
Gavin with a Harrier
Mike with something interesting sounding
Someone with a Minisail

Any more to add to my list?

Peter isn’t sure. It would be great to have another Finn as Geoff is hoping to get out in the Fairey rescued from Attenborough last year and I know he could use some advice.

I’m usually on safety duty for this, which means some of my boats could be available to be borrowed. That would include the Finn, the OK and rhe Waybarge. The others are all in the wrong place.

Thanks again to Nessa, Nikky and the team at Hunts for putting on another great event. Unfortunately there was a lower attendance than normal, but I suspect that this was largely due to the forecast strong winds for Saturday, which turned out to be accurate making for some exciting sailing for the few that ventured out. The Merlins, perhaps wisely, had decided to cancel their one day open on the Saturday, but the arrival of Tim and Pat and the Signets on the Sunday brought the numbers back up and three races were held in more sensible conditions. Steve showed great determination and boathandling skills in his beautifully finished minisail to finish both races on Saturday despite a massive hailstorm which combined with a solid performance in Sunday's less demanding breezes gave him a well deserved victory overall. It was great to see some new boats on the scene including Richard Woods Skol Mk 2, Keith Callaghan's restored Harrier and Lyndon Beasley's newly restored Magnum 3. Hope to see you all at Clywedog in a few weeks time.

Thanks Ian. It was good to see everyone again despite the tough conditions. Respect to those who stayed in campers!

I think the thing that pleased me the most was to see Geoff in the other Finn out sailing for the first time. We rescued that Finn from Attenborough and Geoff has done a great job of putting it back into a sailable state. Even better, I think he’s planning on bringing it to Roadford!
