Vintage Merlin

Post by suffolkmerlin »

Just noticed a Vintage Merlin for sale in Woodbridge. There's a broker there who sells all kinds of boat "stuff" called Andy Seedhouse, a few days ago a boat which he calls a clinker built dinghy has appeared on his lot. I think it's a Merlin no 787 (Jezebel) looks in fair condition but will need TLC soon as is now outside without a cover

Yes, a good looking boat. I think the number is 737 which would correspond in the listing for Jezebel in the MR Yearbook where she is described as a Proctor VIa design built by Wyche and Coppock.

I now have a vintage Merlin that I would really like to move on as I have too many jobs/projects lined up. I've advertised it on Apollo Duck at £100 but that is really just to discourage the boat breaking fraternity. She has a couple of locally sprung joints but otherwise could go sailing. Space needed, as they say.
