If anyone is likely to arrive earlier than 5pm on Friday send me a pm and let me know what time you will need letting in. It would be hnady if I could get a rough idea of arrival times so I know who is likely to be last.

Re: National Rally - who is coming?
Hi all,
As Rupert is away could I make an appeal for all trophies to make their way back to someone who is going to Hunts at the weekend.

I have the vintage trophy and also one from the concourse event. Ready to roll.
Re: National Rally - who is coming?
Plastic duck now perched on camping cutlery box in packing area. Wingnut's become a virtual trophy as we never had it.
Not sure about arrival time - hoping to be Friday afternoon but may be Saturday as the van work has been delayed because the garage couldn't get the brakes right!

Re: National Rally - who is coming?
We have now finalised a food price: £27 for two 'packed' style lunches - Sunday and Monday - plus two good evening meals - Saturday bbq plus pud, hot meal and pud on Sunday, plus free tea and coffee all weekend.
I'm not sure what the lunch consists of exactly, but I'm sure it will be good value - details on registration. I think Sunday supper is lasagne, breads, salad plus pudding. There will be a separate bbq for us veggies.
We have just installed a cask of Oakhams Ale JBH in the bar, plus we have Ruddles on draft.

Re: National Rally - who is coming?
We are just back from a fantastic weekend. Thanks to Nessa for all the hard work she's put in, and to all the others at Hunts who worked so hard, Andy and Becks on the committee boat, those out collecting broken boats in the rescue boats and all the cheerful hardworking ladies in the galley. Very well done to all of you.

Re: National Rally - who is coming?
Not much more to say. Peter has summed it up. Hunts as always have come up with the goods. Thunderstorms overnight, wet and drizzly and finished off with bright sunshine a perfect breeze for knackered old boats. Thanks you Nessa, Nikky, Tim, Andy, Becs, Jan and all the other overworked ladies in the galley (the hardest job of all). Thank you for a wonderful weekend and for providing such well trained crews.

Re: National Rally - who is coming?
I agree, thanks to all at Hunts for a great weekend and well organised event. Clearly a lot of hard work had gone into making us all feel welcome and providing a good mix of racing and fun.
Look forward to sailing with you all again.

Re: National Rally - who is coming?
Arrived home at about 10.20 last night.
Excellent long weekend.
Congrats to Ian and his Moth - a fantastic piece of sailing in the crowded waters on Sunday, and to Peter, who made his old Finn the fastest boat on the lake - even faster than the newest of the Merlins.
Too many beautiful boats there to name them all, but for me, having several really old merlins sailing together was a sight to behold, and spending the Pursuit race with the Jollyboat for company was great, especially when they weren't knicking my wind!
And well done Tom for the Wing-nut - I now no longer have to put a drill down into a pressurized sealent container to see what happens!
Echo the thanks to all who helped out, from Andy and team on the committee boat and safety boats, the creators of the wonderful food (has gone to the top of my list) and Nessa and Nicky for putting in all the hard work so we could play.

Re: National Rally - who is coming?
A very good weekend indeed, thoroughly enjoyed it all. Nessa and her team did a fantastic job so thanks all round there.
Special thanks to my stand in crew Sam, who did a great job and could remember the course which helped me a lot.
Ps Hope Garry is getting better and Lois's infections seems to be clearing up so thanks , too, for those who helped find contacts for doctors.
