Re: Python
Yes, I remember the ads for these, and had that piccy somewhere too.......not sure if I may have seen one at a show many years ago.......don't think I've ever seen one in the flesh though.

Re: Python
Sami..... I have a sneaky feeling that I have seen one (if it is the boat I think) as the over-riding memory was of the yeucky green coloured sails. Red sails work in the sunset and on the Mirror, Blue looks good on an Enterprise, but GREEN?????
Someone should have told them that there is a reason why green is not a universally popular colour out afloat....it just doesn't look right!

Re: Python
Looking under that person's ebay shop for yachting items also brings up:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FUNCRAFT-HYDR ... 1303908462
and
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WATERCAT-10-C ... 1298846849
as well as a Silver Streak brochure.
Perhaps it could be the beginning of a CVRDA library/archive......

Re: Python
Yes David.....Green is not my idea of "right", although I'm not superstitious.....but I suppose it gets you noticed!
Paul......it would be a great idea to have these brochures scanned and available online if possible.....not sure how we'd stand on copyright issues etc though.
I have an original Tangyes Europa Moth brochure.....and possibly a couple of others tucked away somewhere......maybe we should start a thread to find out who has what available?

Re: Python
I have an Aquabat catalogue, plus their are Minisail ones available, perhaps they could be linked to boat index on home page?
Re: Python
Once again this is a great thread that really deserves being split off from the original topic.
The idea of a central 'store' of knowledge is so enticing, yet so difficult to achieve. We have so much stuff vanishing - either to a museum or into a skip somewhere, but a central holding point is not something that will just happen. It needs to be provided, managed, accessible - given the issues of life on line, moderated, promoted......
I wish I could fund it - if I could think of a long term sponsor I'd go for it..... I've enough stuff just here to act as a core.
A damn good idea - would love to see it happen.
