Free to a good home. We have a wooden Graduate dinghy for donation to a good home. The boat is an early Graduate (likely amateur build and unregistered) and needs some work to be sailable again. This would be largely cosmetic (some sanding and painting) and re-fitting out, but would need a buoyancy test etc as it has not seen water for ~40 years.
Hull, wooden spars (with old rigging), sails and rudder available, along with an old solid trailer, although this has again not been used recently and the wheels / hubs would likely not be roadworthy without a good service. A much sounder launching trolley that would likely fit can be supplied instead if a road base can be brought to transport.
The boat is currently kept by an Explorer Scout unit on behalf of Suffolk Scouts, however, there is insufficient availability of members to complete the restoration and get the boat back on the water. We would like it to go to a good home where some basic restoration techniques can be passed on to get the boat sailable once more, and before I go wider I thought the CVRDA was the most suitable place to start.
Boat is lying in Brantham, South Suffolk. Happy to try and answer any questions or receive suggestions for a good home!
